Democrats are intensifying efforts to boost Vice President Kamala Harris’ presence in the cryptocurrency industry as the November US elections approach. In response to increasing support for Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump from the crypto sector, the Democrats have established the Crypto4Harris Group. The group’s first town hall meeting is scheduled for next week, following its formation on Tuesday, August 6. Notable investors such as Mark Cuban and Anthony Scaramucci have confirmed their attendance.

To counter Donald Trump’s growing popularity in the crypto industry and strengthen the connection between the crypto community and Kamala Harris’ team, Democrats have launched the Crypto4Harris Group. The group’s official handle on X describes it as “a grassroots network of crypto advocates organizing, fundraising, and developing a nuanced crypto-policy approach for the Harris For President campaign.”

According to Fox Business journalist Eleanor Terret, the main organizers of the Crypto4Harris Group include top industry players such as Crypto Council CEO Sheila Warren and former Chainalysis executive Amanda Wick. SkyBridge Capital founder Anthony Scaramucci will also be attending the event.

Despite facing criticism for his endorsement of Kamala Harris and Tim Walz, billionaire entrepreneur Mark Cuban, along with other industry participants, will be speaking at the upcoming meeting.

VanEck’s Matthew Sigel criticized Mark Cuban’s support for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz, questioning the basis for his opinion since Kamala Harris has not given a single interview or participated in a debate despite being the presidential nominee for the upcoming US elections. Meanwhile, Mark Cuban has been praising Harris and Walz for their strong connections with people.

Responding to the first post from Crypto4Harris inviting people to the town hall, an X user, BBO Robby, questioned, “Why would we support the campaign before we have any idea where she stands on crypto?!?!” This remark highlights the need for such campaigns to build trust among crypto supporters for the Democratic presidential candidate.

Elon Musk Calls Kamala Harris a ‘Communist’

In a comment on X user @AsTheWorldBurnz post, Tesla CEO Elon Musk accused US Vice President Kamala Harris of being communist. He wrote, “Kamala is quite literally a communist,” and further elaborated, “She wants not merely equal opportunity, but equal outcomes.”

Musk’s comment on a Democratic presidential candidate is not surprising, given that he has already endorsed Republican Donald Trump as the US presidential candidate.
